F*CK!

Venlafaxine (Effexor) withdrawal is happening.  I thought I would be lucky enough to avoid it because I was on a relatively small dose for only 2 months.  Not so.  I feel dizzy, unstable on my feet, kind of nauseous, my brain feels like it is pulsing and sending dizzy waves through me.  I can only hope it won't last long, and won't get worse, or I will have to keep taking some instead of going cold turkey.  It's only been 18 hours since my first missed dose.  Great.  Can imagine me at work tomorrow, looking like a drug addict in need of a fix.  Dark circles under my eyes, staggering, slurring my speech.  If you come to my work tomorrow, don't laugh!

On a lighter note, I have started a mood stabiliser (a small enough dose that it wouldn't be causing the above symptoms).  It's called lamotrigine, or lamacil I think.  I'll report back once I know if it works!

  1. Jen please go see your GP as it could well be side effects & withdrawal, it needs reviewing by a Dr. Never be complacent xxxx
